Does it work offline?
Yes. Recording and Whisper transcription run on-device. In Private mode, summaries and tasks can run offline too — after downloading a local model.
Where is my data stored?
Audio and transcripts stay on your device. In Smart mode, text is sent for processing to generate summaries, tasks, and note Q&A. In Private, generation stays local — no requests to our servers.
How is Smart different from Private?
Smart is cloud AI with model choice, meeting mode, digest, and auto-organize folders. Private gives summaries, tasks, and note Q&A on-device without spending cloud AI credits. Switch modes in AI settings.
Which languages are supported?
Whisper recognizes speech in many languages. You can set a fixed output language for summaries and tasks in AI settings — separate from the recording language.
Do I need a subscription to start?
No. Recording and transcription are available immediately, no account required. Cloud AI in Smart uses weekly credits. Pro unlocks additional models, meeting mode, and more.
Can I open my backup on a computer?
Yes. Export a ZIP from Settings → Import / Export in the app, then open it in our browser backup viewer. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
