Yes. Recording and transcription run on-device, so you can capture ideas even with no connection.
Where is my data stored?
By default your voice notes and transcripts stay on your device. You control if and when AI cloud features are used.
Is Private mode always on?
No. Private mode is optional in Settings. It is available on supported devices after downloading a local model.
Which languages are supported?
Voice Inbox AI supports multi-language speech recognition and keeps improving model quality over time.
Do I need a subscription to start?
No. You can install and start using core voice capture immediately, then upgrade only if advanced AI workflows are needed.
Can I open my backup on a computer?
Yes. Export a ZIP from Settings → Import / Export in the app, then open it in our browser backup viewer. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
