These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Voice Inbox AI mobile application and related web services. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Voice Inbox AI is an offline voice notes app that lets you record audio, transcribe it on-device using Whisper, and optionally use AI to generate summaries, extract tasks, and answer questions based on transcripts. The app may offer an optional experimental on-device (private) AI mode using a downloaded model, or cloud AI routed through our servers. The app may also offer an optional in-app support form that sends your message and technical diagnostics to our servers so we can help you.
Transcription runs locally on your device. On-device AI can run without sending transcript text to our servers for inference (an internet connection is still needed to download the model). Cloud AI requires an internet connection and sends transcript text to our servers, which forward it to third-party providers via the OpenRouter platform. Availability of each mode may depend on your device, OS, and app settings.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Voice Inbox AI for lawful purposes only. You may not record, transcribe, or process content that violates the rights of others, is illegal, harmful, or contrary to applicable law.
You may not circumvent rate limits, reverse-engineer the app or API, or use the service in a way that harms our infrastructure or other users.
You must not misuse the support channel (for example, by sending unlawful, harassing, or knowingly false content, spam, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems).
3. Paid features and subscriptions
The app may offer a free tier of AI usage with weekly limits. Optional paid upgrades (for example, higher limits or disabling advertising where the app shows ads) are offered only through in-app purchases in the Apple App Store or Google Play, where the platform is the merchant of record for the payment. Your purchase is governed by the platform’s terms and refund rules. We may use a third-party subscription status service to verify purchases and keep paid entitlements in sync. Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory consumer rights in your country.
If you install or obtain the app through the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard end-user licence agreement for licensed applications (the Apple Standard EULA) may apply in addition to these Terms where Apple requires it: Apple Standard EULA.
4. Intellectual Property
All content you create (voice recordings, transcripts, notes) belongs to you. You grant us a limited, non-transferable license to process that content solely to provide the app's features.
The app itself, its code, design, trademarks, and logos belong to the developer. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Voice Inbox AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of transcriptions or AI-generated content. Use the app at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or our services, including data loss, accuracy of AI output, or service interruptions.
7. Third-Party Services
The app relies on third-party services. Cloud AI uses OpenRouter and underlying model providers (for example Google / Gemini, MiniMax, and DeepSeek). On-device AI may download model weights from public repositories (for example Hugging Face). The app may also use Google Firebase services for crash diagnostics (Crashlytics) and product analytics (Analytics). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the actions or content of third parties.
As of the “Last updated” date above, unless you have a paid entitlement that removes ads, Yandex Mobile Ads may be used to display a banner, optional full-screen (interstitial) ads at natural breakpoints (for example after saving a note, importing data, or applying bulk folder organization), and optional rewarded ads. Frequency caps may apply. We may revise how advertising works with an updated policy (and any consent or controls required by law) if that changes.
8. Age Restrictions
The app is not intended for persons under 13 years of age. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or upon the next app launch. The last updated date is always shown at the top of this document.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the API or services with reasonable notice where possible.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer is located. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the developer's place of business.
